in all her 400cc glory

Sat Jan 7, 2006, 6:05 AM
My, you're very attractive. Are those new shoes?

Feature: I can't help it. This shot, this, it just, I mean I, um... :faint:
Full view! I love snowboarding. Thank you, =lisak10, for this.

Now to return to our more regular program.

I spent a few days in northern New South Wales with my boyfriend, at his dad's property. Three orchards of mangoes (soon to be ripe), a bunch of cows, two unrideable horses. A few hundred acres I think, and some machinery. Speaking of which, I learnt to ride a motorbike (400cc trail bike) on Wednesday and it was pretty cool :) I'm proud of myself. I fell over once, because I'd stopped and the ground wasn't level and honestly I can't hold that bike up by myself (when only 1 leg is on the ground, with the other thrown over the other side :faint:). I also rode the quad bike a little more aggressively than I have previously :giggle: Time was also spent lazing around on the couch and watching TV, lazing around on the bed, going for rides on bike and quad, and just doing whatever really. Very relaxing.

The now-they're-better-now-they're-not hands are doing okay; they were screwed the other day, all flakey and itchy and bleeding, but are calming down again. I find if I keep them moisturised then they do okay. I can hardly stop itching, though I know that I have to. A "New Year Resolution"/goal of mine is to have them a-okay and fixed by June 2006, which I really hope I can pull off.

Speaking of June 2006, I got an email back from the Canadian lady I met the other week, and signs are good so far. Her sister in Canada wants to know if I specifically want to be in the city (Toronto) or up at someone's cottage/very flexible. Any Canadians that can give me a hand there? I'm looking at either nannying or helping at a Summer camp; should I try for city or cottage?

Work is good; getting some good experience which I think will help me later if I want to stay or progress in the hospitality (and waitressing) area. I got paid the other day and it's nice to have money coming in again. Start saving up for a trip to Canada :excited: That's my other New Year Resolution (I only made 2). To have visited Canada by 31 Dec 2006! Or, if not Canada, then to have gone overseas for some snowboarding holiday. Here's hoping, ey, and planning o'course ;)

Of travelling, Leah is back on Sunday!! :excited: Woo! Party time, right? It's been 11 months since we've seen the likes of her in Australia, and she'll be most welcome back  Jackson is leaving soon, too, for his kick-arse month long stint in Canada :faint: What a blast that'll be! I think he's trying for something crazy like 10hrs a day on the slopes; good luck, that's all I can say! But he's got some good gear so he'll do okay (oh Burton, we love you so).
edit: Jackson left on Monday, at about 7am. At this current moment, he's probably still in the air, on his way to Canada, in a white aeroplane with a giant red maple leaf on it. See you when you get back, my sweet love.

I'm an engine driver, on a long run.

Hot:
Eating yoghurt with/through a straw
The first few seconds of riding solo on a motorbike; "Shit, am I doing this?"
Lemon and lime tree

Not:
Big blister on inside of right knee, from motorbike. Should I or should I not pop it?
Not having matching tops for my underwear
You

I listened to that song I Will Follow You Into The Dark... it's very good

:| Wow, 400cc. I haven't done half the things you have but I believe it's safe to say you lead the active and healthy life :) I'd love to... just not on a motorbike :P I have enough accidents as it is, hahaha. OH speaking of which! Itching is the worst thing... I was itching my leg just the other day and kept scratching at it and now, I'm going to have to wait for it to heal. :( My legs are scarred enough.

Why oh why do I have TEN New Year's Resolutions? :O Hehe. I felt up to the challenge this year I guess. Wow, good luck with all of that! Canada should be so so fun... :faint: Well...Canada might have some more beautiful photographic scenes where the cottage is, but the same could be said for the city. Maybe if you've seen too much of city scenes you could go for the cottage? I know maybe I would. Maybe I should ask my cousin for you. :O She's lived in Canada for most of her life.

I'll Find You.
Glad you like the song :) Death Cab For Cutie have some nice stuff  and you'd probably like The Decemberists, too, if you liked that one.

400cc is all good, but there was nowhere on the farm that I would have wanted to find it's full potential =P Jackson might be confident to do wheelies and go crazy speeds, but I'm not that insane. Yet. He's been doing that kind of stuff for about 8 years though so I think I've got a good excuse for being a bit timid on it first time around :giggle: I like the life I lead, as active as it may seem :) Maybe one day you should try a motorbike, just to say you've done it ;P

What are your resolutions? Ten is quite a few, but if you feel up to the challenge then heck go for it :w00t:

Regarding Canada, I see what you mean about photographical beauty, however I think even if I was in Toronto, I could hopefully manage a trip to a mountain while I was there. I don't know much about the topography/geography of Toronto, so it could be a long way to the mountains, but I emailed the Canada lady back and said I'm fairly flexible and would like to know what jobs I'd be up for if I were in the city or a cottage, as that would help me decide. I'm not sure what sort of Summer Camp I'd be good for, but I've seen a few web sites and they have a camp for practically everything! Even one for photography; you can apply to help out with those, so maybe you could give it a shot some time in the future :)

Yay, essays ^_^

I'd love to go to Canada. I met some awesome Canadian people in Europe this year and I want to visit them. Travelling's given me itchy feet.

eating yoghurt with a straw is fine... as long as it's not frozen.

Hell yes; a lot of Canadians seem to be awesome! Travelling to the snow gave me itchy-and-wanting-to-be-buried-in-snow feet :giggle: So I can only imagine that going to Europe would give you very itchy feet indeed!

Eating yoghurt with the straw was great; I just had to keep my fingers off the straw otherwise the yoghurt warmed up before reaching my mouth :(

:)

Hehe, well my resolutions are just to be a nicer person, and you know, to shut up when I should, and other I can't quite remember all the rest :| But I've written them all down. :aww:

I wouldn't be anywhere near confident to do all those insane things Jackson does, either. :| And yes, 8 years experience... wow. Hehehe yes I will try all sorts of things and when people ask, I'll actually become an interesting person to talk to :P

Mountains :faint: I think I'm looking forward to YOU going to Canada just so I can see some awesome pics :D And yes, Canada seems like a good place for job prospects... And do you know if I can take French as an elective in QUT or GU, if I do a degree in the "creative industries"?

--
Really? Wow.
Those aren't resolutions, those are just goals that you should do anyway =P But good luck anyway! Just remember, you have to work on/for them, they won't just happen ;P

Jackson has done a lot of crazy stuff on motorbikes and quads and in the Landcruiser, but the good thing is that with all his experience he's pretty sure of what he's doing. That's what he's said, at least, and I do my best to trust him :scared: As for trying lots of things, YOU DEFINITELY SHOULD :D Because lots of things are awesome and fun and yes you can be an interesting person too, yay :highfive: :giggle:

Mountains  Snow covered mountains :faint: Snowboarding on snow covered mountains :faint::faint::heart::faint::faint: ooooooh yeahh... Anyway. I got another email back from my Canada contact lady, explaining more specifically what jobs I'd be up against in Canada, and that there's a sign-up day for a daycamp in, I quote, "a fairly exclusive neighbourhood in Toronto" so I asked her to put my name down for that, and that I'd be happy to do anything over in Canada really :) Very exciting :excited:

I have no idea re: French elective, sorry. You'd have to ask a course coordinater there; I never did or applied for uni sorry dear :) Good luck tho!

confusing SMS's are the BOMB, you just take things way too seriously.

take a chill pill man, your way to high strung, let go a little and go with the flow.

have a little unplanned fun, something exotic, and if you can't, don't rain on other people's parades because they can.

I guess you'd know all about chill pills, ey :) We're in to different kinds of fun, you and I, and I don't remember raining on anyone's parade either. The SMS was taken with a, "What? :o" because the, uh, friendship that you and I have has never been a stable one. I'm not highly strung, I'm just on a different frequency and wavelength to you. My idea of unplanned/exotic fun is certainly different to yours. So don't rain on my parade just because I don't do things how you do ;)

Chill Pills? man i'm clean. i would pass any test. :D

Whatever. =p

your only fooling yourself. somewhere deep inside there has to be a part of you that is curious as to how the other half lives.

Just think about it.
