2. GUESS WHAT??!?! I'm now eating yoghurt!
Thanks to food allergies, I haven't had any dairy in almost a year (except for a few days in October '06 - a big [delicious] mistake) and have worried about calcium deficiency. I hadn't been taking calcium tablets, either, due to paranoia about being allergic to their added ingredients.
Recently, the natropath got on my case about calcium intake. My choices were:
- Eat calcium-rich foods all the time (harder than it sounds)
- Eat yoghurt (I had doubts about this, as I was pretty sure my body didn't like milk)
- Take calcium tablets (see above for paranoia).
After initial doubts, I bought some plain, as-few-ingredients-as-possible, natural cow's milk yoghurt. Oh my God it is SO GOOD. It feels devine, it tastes delicious, and it hasn't had any bad side effects
